Soldiers traversing Dogon Gida and New Marte stepped on an undetected Improvised Explosive Device (IED) buried by suspected Boko Haram. The explosion caused four injuries and damage to the vehicle. Elsewhere in the area (unknown exact location), military forces in a joint operation with Cameroonian forces killed 10 members of the group while recuing 45 female captives.
