Police had to fire up to disperse a group of residents of Bunia town after they led a demonstration today through the streets of Bunia town, Ituri District, to denounce the increasing insecurity in the town. The demonstrators set on fire a police post after accusing police of doing nothing to curb insecurity in the town and being behind a violent armed robbery last night. Police arrested six people among the demonstrators and soldiers of the Armed Forces of DRCongo were deployed in reinforcement to police officers through the suburb areas of town. |
