A DR-Congo government spokesman said that about 300 Rwandan soldiers made an incursion into North Kivu which was repelled by FARDC soldiers, resulting in one FARDC member wounded. The Rwandan soldiers had been encamped at Musangoti Hill in Virunga National Park and retreated across the border after the clash. The Rwandan representative to the UN has denied the events, although park rangers and local residents have confirmed the incursion occurred. |
