The village of Buulo-Waray (7km north of Jowhar, on the eastern bank of the Shabelle River) was for the most part destroyed by fire as a result of a dispute between two families. Unconfirmed reports indicate that the conflicting families put fire at the house of the other but were unable to control the fire that expended to the whole village. Most of the houses in the village have been reportedly destroyed. Inhabitants of the village are from two Bantu clans. |
