Arrest/Detention/Disorder linked to the delivery of humanitarian assistance/Threat, Ceel Waaq, Gedo Region, 31/08/2011. Reports from Ceel Waaq indicate that members of the local relief committee were involved in a dispute with the coordinator of a LNGO who they accused of having given beneficiary cards for food distributions to residents of Ceel Waaq Kenya. Subsequently three members of the relief committee were reportedly arrested and detained at the Ceel Waaq police station. The three were released after soldiers from the Isiolo militias stormed the police station. The soldiers responsible for the action have reportedly been arrested. |
