On the 06/08/2011 between 03.00 and 05.00 AS forces vacated different districts of Mogadishu in a relatively organized movement. AS withdrawal at around 10.00 the AS Spokesman Sheikh Ali Mohamud Rage declared in a press statement on a pro-AS radio that AS had ordered its militants to vacate the frontline bases between Boondheere and the former ministry of defense building. The Spokesman added that the move was not to be seen as a complete pull-out of Mogadishu but as a change of tactics on the side of AS. |
