Three Sa'ad militia men carjacked a vehicle rented by a UN agency in an area 4km south of Galmudug check point in Galkacyo South in the morning of 26/11. There was one UN agency staff on board who was travelling to Cadaado on a mission. The militia men forced the vehicle to an isolated area 15km east of South Galkacyo and stole personal items from the staff and the driver, before taking the vehicle to unknown location. The driver and the staff member managed to return to Galkacyo. The driver hails from Marehan clan and according to the Galmudug police which launched investigation, the incident is related to Saad/Marehan clan revenge. |
