The two sides engaged heavy fighting which lasted for about an hour after which the al Shabaab fighters were overwhelmed. The SNG forces left Qansax Dheere and were heading to Bardaale when the ambush happened. Two SNG soldiers and one al Shabaab fighter were killed while another al Shabaab fighter was injured. |
