An SPLA-IO spokesman said they torched an SPLM-N military training centre in the area before clashing with the SPLA-Juba and inflicted heavy casualties, as well as injuring at least 1 officer, before pulling out of the area. 2 SPLA-IO fighterss sustained minor injuries. 5 civilians were also reportedly killed during the attack by SPLA-IO forces, and at least 4 young women were abducted.
