A group of unemployed youths who are residents of Sidi Ammar Municipality, Annaba Province, attempted mass suicide by threatening to jump off the roof of the Municipal People's Council building in protest at delays by the local authorities in providing suitable employment for them.According to eyewitnesses the protesters yesterday used daggers and cold steel to mutilate their bodies as a means of getting the attention of the local authorities to find a solution to their demands quickly. |
