After an offensive by the Union of Democratic Forces for Unity (UFDR, under Michel Am Nondokro Djotodia) that overtook three towns in northern CAR, four rebellious factions formed an alliance to oppose CAR President Bozize, creating a force of 4,600 combatants. The movement, calling itself Seleka, is comprised of the UFDR, the Democratic Front for the People of the Central African Republic (CPJP) under Nourredine Adam, the Democratic Front for the People of the Central African Republic (FDPC) under Abdoulaye Miskine, and a separate CPJP faction under d' Abdoulaye Hissne. |
