On 29 July 2015, security forces raided an Egyptian's apartment, without an arrest warrant, and proceeded to beat him up before throwing him out of his third-floor window. The man was badly injured, and taken to Al-Nuzha police station, which refused to take him due to the seriousness of his injuries. Security forces had no choice but to take him to Heliopolis Hospital in Cairo where doctors determined he had fractured his pelvis and spinal cord, and was suffering from concussion and low blood pressure. His wife was released, but the man remains at hospital, handcuffed to his bed. |
