St Joseph's Kocholia Secondary School in Busia county was closed indefinitely. Education officials in Teso North ordered the closure of the institution after the more than 500 students boycotted classes. The students marched to the district education offices in Amagoro to seek audience with area education boss Genetrix Amatha. The students demanded the resignation of the school's Board of Management chairman Dudovicus Okitoi. They accused Okitoi of being behind the high turnover of principals at the institution. |
