The Kenyan police arrested an official of al Shabaab in Nairobi on 06/08. The suspect, a journalist by profession (Andulus Radio), is accused of killing journalists in Somalia. However, the man under interrogation has denied that he is Mr Hanafi. SNG requested the Kenyan government to extradite him to Mogadishu to face charges there. Somalia ambassador to Kenya Mohamed Ali Nur has said his government has appealed to the government of Kenya to extradite al Shabaab Al Andulus radio director back to Somalia for prosecution process. According to the ambassador, the arrest of the key official comes as the result of cooperation between NISA and their Kenyan counterpart. |
