Rioting continued for a second day in the West Point neighbourhood following the imposition of a quarantine. The riot started after a local representative sent police to get her family out. Police protecting the car fired into the air as the crowd became violent. The crowds engaged in stone throwing and looting of food and other supplies was reported. 4 residents were injured in the clashes. Police shot 15-year old Shaki Kamara, who died the following day. 2 others were allegedly also shot. |
