Reports from Lasanood confirmed that 27 trucks carrying WFP food to the South and Central Regions of Somalia were disrupted by contractors, who were not successful in securing the WFP bids for service. Puntland police came to rescue the convoy but met resistance from local militia supporting the contractors. One person was killed and another injured from the protesters. 4 trucks were damaged in the incident. It is also reported that Puntland police are currently in custody of the food and the trucks.
