AS forces are reportedly moving to Harardhere, a former pirate base in Mudug region. VOA. O1/AS in Harardhere/ (0/10)/ (00)/Mudug/Harardhere/20100426.1051 The Government of Puntland are worried about the possible creation of an AS base in Harardhere as they could easily attack the region from a safe base near Puntland. AS could also use Harardhere as a base from which to hijack vessels and raise funds through ransom. This movement of AS is thought to be either part of or a total force numbering between 500 - 1000 AS that were redeployed from Southern Somalia late last week.
