Ethiopian forces entered the town of Boohodle and closed all the roads to the South and Central Somalia. The timing coincides with Ethiopian forces crossing in to the borders in Central Somalia near and in the town of El Berde. Ethiopia itself will hold its National Parliamentary and Regional elections on May 23 and the move is most probably aimed at preventing ONLF and other elements from hampering its own elections. |
