Puntland troops with technicals came to within seven Kms of the Badhan district of Sanaag. Somaliland Police in the district and its army in Biyo- Guduud areas are on standby position for confrontation with the Puntland army. A2/Sool-Snaag crisis (0/10)/ (00)/Sanaag/Somaliland/20100630.1547Latest reports indicate that Puntland Minister of arrived at Badhan (approx. 120 km East of Erigavo). There was no shooting between the Puntland troops and Somaliland police in the area. Reportedly, the Puntland forces arrived in the town when the Somaliland police left. |
