A RCIED targeting a TFG/AMISOM (Burundian) convoy accidentally hit a passenger mini bus travelling from K4 to Afgooye. The device detonated seconds after the passage of the TFG/AMISOM convoy. 4 to 8 civilians including two women were killed in the attack while 13 others were injured. Unconfirmed reports indicate that 1 or 2 of the injured died later at the hospital. The Burundian Spokesman Colonel Pierk declared that AMISOM and TFG forces had escaped unscathed. An AS official declared that several Burundian officers had been killed. |
