TFG Police forces based in Afar-irdood Police Station opened fired at an officer of the TFG PS (armed National NSA). During the shooting one of the TFG PS officers was injured. About 30 minutes later a technical belonging to the TFG PS reached the area and opened retaliatory fire killing two TFG policemen and injuring two others. The incident was reported to have been linked to resentment of the TFG Police Forces from the above mentioned police station towards the NSA after the NSA forces confiscated a weapon of a policemen while he was not wearing his uniform in Xamar Weyne districts. |
