Unknown gunmen murdered a father and his two sons hailing from the Gadabuursi clan and injured three other people while they were asleep at their house in Saameel area in Gabiley District. The attackers were reported to be hailing from the Reer Hareed/Jibriir Abokor sub-clan. The murder is believed to have been motivated by a land dispute in Ceel-Bardaale. The same land dispute caused clan clashes in which about 10 people died one year before. The area remains very tense and further hostilities between the clans cannot be ruled out. |
