A combined group of ENDF, SVS and ASWJ forces were reported to have moved to the south and east of Belet Weyne and of having set-up temporary positions in Beer Xaano on the road to Bulo Burte (around 30km S of Belet Weyne) and Yabarveele (40km E of Belet Weyne). The objectives of these forces are still unclear. Initial reports indicated that the movements were part of an offensive against Bulo Burte and Maxaas but later information suggest that the forces were deployed to prevent AS infiltration in the vicinity of Belet Weyne. |
