A private vehicle coming from Ceelasha exploded while passing in front of the AMISOM base in the Somalia University in the afternoon of 03/03. The driver was killed and a passenger injured. The victim was a prominent Murusade elder who was reported to have been recently openly criticizing the AS movement. Persons close to the victim report that he had spent the day in Ceelasha and that his car had been borrowed during lunch, concluding the exploding device had been planted in his car and that the incident was a targeted assassination. |
