Residents of Saylac (Isse Clan) demonstrate in front of the offices of Seylac Municipal Council in the morning of 08/01. The demonstrators were opposed to the nomination of new mayors and their deputies in Saylac and Lughaye alleging that the new officer bearers do not hail from these two towns. The protestors also expressed their support to the statement made by Isse traditional leaders in Diri Dawa (Ethiopia) and Ceel Gaal (Somaliland) that they do not recognize the new mayors for Saylac and Lughaye districts. |
