On 03/01 at about 15:00 a suicide bomber exploded his ordinance inside the Indian Ocean Bar Restaurant near Mogadishu's Lido Beach. Briefly after the first blast a secondary vehicle borne bomber targeted the crowd gathering on the scene of the first explosion. Initial reports suggest that at least 10 people may have been killed and at least 40 others injured, though later reports indicate four deaths, plus the two bombers. An unexploded ordinance was discovered near the scene by a local two days after the incident on 03/03, which was removed by police without incident. |
