| Description | Suspected al Shabaab fighters stopped a vehicle carrying Khat to Berdale village (Bay District) at Kureedka area (12kms SE of Luuq) in the afternoon of 09/10 and killed the driver, beheading him. They also burned the khat and the vehicle, and released the passengers. The body of the driver was taken to Luuq town. Report indicates that the al Shabaab fighters had several times warned the victim to stop transporting Khat to Berdale Village. The victim was from Marehan clan. |
