Two militia groups clashed near Fiat building in Kismaayo in the afternoon 10/10 following a dispute over a government building in the area. The building was first occupied by Majeerten militia but was later given to Ogaden militia. One Majeerten militia man was killed and two others injured in the clash. The incident caused tension in the town. Unconfirmed reports indicate that relatives of the Majeerten militiaman are planning to attack a popular hotel to revenge against the Ogaden. Jubaland police were deployed to guard several hotels in Kismaayo following the rumour. |
