The Somali police exchanged gunfire with a gunman dressed in military uniform who had set up an illegal checkpoint and extorting money from motorists in Dabakayo Madow neighbourhood (Dharkeynley District) in the morning of 12/10. Police attacked the gunman after motorists tipped them about his activities in the area. A female bystander was killed and three other people including the gunman were injured in the shoot-out. Police also arrested the suspect and took him to the CID headquarters. |
