Militiamen believed to be from the Warsangeli /Nuux cumar sub-clan carjacked a Toyota Land Cruiser belonging to a member of the Dhulbahante/Naaleye Ahmed sub-clan in Hadaaftimo village (82km E of Ceerigaabo) on 09/11. Reports indicate that the vehicle was hired by the Somaliland ministry of planning to conduct census activities. The vehicle carrying two enumerators had left Badhan and was heading to Ceerigaabo. The Warsangeli elders in Hadaaftimo reportedly pursued the carjackers. A latest report indicates that the perpetrators were arrested by pro-Somaliland forces in Badhan. |
