Militiamen hailing from the Mareehan/Wagardhac sub-clan ambushed alcohol smugglers in an area between Dhudub village (Ethiopia) and Lanwaaley in the night of 12/11. Reports indicate that the gunmen opened fire at the vehicle and injured two men. The attack was reportedly part of a cycle of clan revenges opposing the two sides. The injured men hail from hail from the Habar-Gedir/ Sa'ad sub-clan. Further reports indicate that elders from the Wagardhac sub-clan intervened and managed to take the injured men to Galkacyo. |
