Suspected al Shabaab operatives attacked the residence of General Gobaale, a senior SNA commander and commander of Somali army's 3rd brigade, in Sheekh Ali Suufi neighbourhood (Hodan District) in the evening of 15/11. The commander was not present by the time of the attack. A security guard at the residence exchanged fire with the attackers, killing one of them and injuring another. The security guard was also injured in the shoot-out. The attackers reportedly left behind the body of their colleague, a pistol and a car as they retreated. |
