The Somaliland's RRU (Rapid Response Unit) police dispersed a group of journalists who held a peaceful demonstration in front of Hubaal newspaper premises in 26 June District in Hargeisa in the morning of 03/12. The journalists were reportedly protesting against the release of one the masked gunmen who attacked Hubaal newspaper premise in the night of 24/04/13. The journalists claimed that the man was released without being taken to court. The RRU police reportedly used clubs to disperse the journalist and arrested four of them. They also confiscated equipment from the journalist during the arrest. |
