Unidentified gunmen driving in a small car opened fire and seriously injured a woman (a foreigner, not identified) in Baar Ubax neighbourhood (Hawl-Wadaag District) in the afternoon of 06/12. Reports indicate that the woman later succumbed to her injuries in a Mogadishu hospital. The incident happened after the victim left University of Somalia's campus in the K4 area where she used to work as a lecturer. There is a conflicting report about her nationality; one version suggests that she was a Ugandan while the other reports indicate that she is from Zanzibar. The perpetrators escaped. |
