An armed man hailing from Habar Jeclo/Ahmed Abokor shot in the air to disperse a group of boys who were throwing stones at a wedding party in Hodan Qaylo neighbourhood in the evening of 11/12. It is not known why the group was causing the disturbance. A stray bullet hit and killed passerby hailing from Habar Jeclo/Reer Yusuf. Police arrested the perpetrator. Following the incident, tensions in the town reportedly ran high between Habar Jeclo/Reer Yusuf and Habar Jeclo/Abokor Ahmed on 14/12 after the Reer Yusuf clan refused to bury the deceased person. |
