A RCIED targeted an ENDF military convoy in Bursagaar Village (27km NW of Garbarhaarey) in the morning of 24/12. The RCIED attack was followed by armed clash between al Shabaab fighters and the ENDF that went on for about an hour. Reports indicate that four ENDF soldiers were killed and two others were injured in the blast. Seven al Shabaab fighters were killed and a number of others wounded in the clash. The 14-truck convoy was carrying supplies to Garbahaarey and had left Bulo-Xawo when the attack happened. |
