About 12 militias loyal to Barre Hiraale attacked the residence the Jubaland minister of commerce and a neighbouring building occupied by Jubaland forces in Farjano neighbourhood in the evening of 26/12. The attackers and the Jubaland forces exchanged small arms fire for about 20 minutes after which the Hiraale's militia withdrew. One injured Hiraale's militiaman was captured by the Jubaland forces and later died of torture. Two other attackers were injured in the clash but were taken by their colleagues as they withdrew. |
