Gunmen believed to be Warsangeli/Reer Haji sub-clan carjacked a lorry belonging to Warsangeli/ Aden siciid sub-clan in Caw-sane village (54km E of Badhan) on 03/01. The motive is believed to be related to dispute between the two sub-clans. The vehicle had left Bossaso and was transporting goods to Badhan when the incident happened. Reports indicate that elders from Warsangeli/Reer Haji sub-clan went after the gunmen in attempt to persuade them to release the truck. No casualties were reported during the incident. |
