A group of journalists held a peaceful demonstration in front of Hargeisa Regional court on 19/06 to express their anger against arrest of journalist and suspension of media institutions by Somaliland. The protestors gathered in front of the court where a case against a publisher and an editor of Haatuf newspaper was ongoing to show their solidarities. The demonstrators were carrying placards written on freedom of expression for Somaliland media is clearly defined and protected in the national constitution of Somaliland. |
