Al Shabaab and Government troops clashed at Toos Weyne near Bardaale on Monday. According to a Bay Region reporter, the fighting erupted after al Shabaab attacked bases manned by the government forces in that area. The fighting was also taken part by fighter jets of KDF Contingent of AMISOM who were striking and were assisting the government troops. So far, there are no confirmations regarding the casualty figures. Many civilians were displaced by recurrent clashes like this in the area in the last few days. |
