A big demonstration in support of the disarmament operation launched by the SNG and AMISOM forces took place at Daljirka Dahsoon square (Boondheere District) on 24/08. SNG forces backed by AMISOM forces tightened the security in the area. The demonstrators expressed their support to the government's disarmament operations and the improved security in the capital. One of the clerics in Mogadishu, Sheikh Abdikadir Somow, who addressed the crowd, explained the importance of security to the population and urged them cooperate with the security agencies in maintaining the general security in the country and Mogadishu in particular. |
