Khatumo forces hailing from Dhulbahante (Hayaag, Wacays Aden and Cigaal Naleeye sub-clans) with two battle wagons conducted an attack against Somaliland forces based at Ceegaag village (47km NE of Buuhoodle) on 16/09. Reports indicate that the two sides clashed briefly after which the attackers withdrew. The attackers later erected a road block between Caro Wayn and Ceegaag villages and blocked two trucks heading to Ceegag. Somaliland police were dispatched in to the scene and upon arrival the Khatumo Militias escaped abandoning the road block. |
