Al Shabaab fighters ambushed a group of eight pro-SNG soldiers in an area between Goof Gaduud and Kurta villages (Baidoa District) in the afternoon of 17/09. Two SNG soldiers were killed in the ambush but no al Shabaab casualties were reported. SNG forces in Baidoa sent soldiers and two battle wagons to the ambushed soldiers, collected of the bodies of the two soldiers and brought the rest Baidoa. The attacked soldiers left Waajid and were heading to Baidoa when the ambush took place. |
