The soldiers launched the attack after a tip off that a group of al Shabaab fighters arrived in the village to collect zakat from the locals. The two sides exchanged gunfire briefly after which the al Shabaab fighters withdrew. A pro-SNG soldier and a number of al Shabaab fighters were injured in the clash. |
