Hundreds of supporters of SW6 region staged a demonstration in the vicinity of Abshir Kahiye Bridge (Baidoa) in the morning of 28/10. Police shot at the air in order to disperse the protestors and block them from advancing towards the town at Abshir Kahiye Bridge. Reports indicate that SNG forces entered ADC compound (SW6 headquarter), arrested a number of elders and other supporters and confiscated all stuffs in the centre and took it to the police station. A guard at the ADC compound open fire at the SNG forces and injured a soldier - - It was later revealed two civilians were killed in the melee. |
