The attack follows after SNG forces received a tip off that al Shabaab fighters had been planning to ambush a lorry transporting goods from Ceel Barde to Xudur and launched the attack to pre-empty the al Shabaab fighters. The two sides exchanged gunfire briefly after which the al Shabaab fighters withdrew and the lorry arrived safely in Xudur. |
