SNG forces based in Waajid town attacked Kurta village - an al Shabaab base - (28km SE of Waajid) in the morning of 27/11. The two sides briefly clashed after which al Shabaab were overwhelmed and fled from the village. SNG forces set up on fire on a pack up generator belonging to Hormuud Company and also threaten to residents saying that; it al Shabaab do not release the fuel tank to Waajid they will come back and put the whole Hormuud system down so that they will stay without mobile network communications. Causalities not reported. |
