Two Dhulbahante sub-clans militias (Samakaab Ali and Faarax Ali) clashed in Taleex on 10/12. While the exact trigger of the armed clash is not clear, unconfirmed reports indicate that the fighting broke out after man hailing from Samakaab Ali tried to rob a gun from a Faarax Ali man and immediately Farax Ali sub-clan incorrectly assumed that their clansman was killed and attacked Samakaab Ali. The two sides used heavy both light and heavy weapons during the clash which lasted for more than an hour. |
