Gunmen believed to be from Dhulbahante/Qayaad sub-clan opened fire at a private vehicle in Waqderi (15km S of Laas Caanood) on 15/12, killing a man from Dhulbahante/Bahararsame and injuring four others. The attack was a revenge killing between the two Dhulbahante sub-clans. The vehicle had left Laas Caanood and was heading to Saalax Dheer Village (59km S of Laas Caanood) when the incident happened. Bahararsame gunmen went on revenge mission immediately and killed a man from Qayaad sub-clan and injured another in Geel-Booba near Kalabaydh (30km S of Laas Caanood). |
