Al Shabaab fighters on 27/12 beheaded a former SNG soldier whom they abducted from Daqalow Village (29km SE of Beled Weyne) on 24/12. The victim quit the SNG forces and started farming in the village by the time of his abduction. Al Shabaab fighters took him to their base in Buqcagable Village (80km SE of Beled Weyne) where he was condemned to death for spying for the SNG. His body was dumped on the western side of the river in Daqalow Village. Al Shabaab reportedly told his relatives that he should not be buried as a Muslim as he was not Muslim but an apostate. |
